Definition of scab
scab
- someone who borrows things and doesn't expect to pay them back. (Origin: temporary replacements for workers on strike - "scab labor").
He is always scabbing cigarettes.

- in collective bargaining relations - someone who crosses a picket line during a strike; a non-union member, or someone who benefits from a union but does not pay dues
